Santa Barbara – Santa Ynez – California Central Coast
We have some of the most beautiful and sought after destination wedding venues right here on the Central Coast. Santa Barbara favorites include the Four Seasons Biltmore, the Bacara Resort and Spa, the Montecito Country Club, Fess Parker’s Double Tree Resort, Santa Barbara’s Historic Presidio and the El Presidio Chapel, the Old Santa Barbara Mission, the Santa Barbara Courthouse and Sunken Gardens, the Arlington and Granada Theaters, Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club, Santa Barbara’s Maritime Museum, Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, and the Botanical Gardens to name just a few. There are also many beautiful Churches to get married in, including the Trinity Episcopal Church, the First United Methodist Church, and Our Lady Of Sorrows Church. The entire area is rich in stunning natural sites, Beaches and beautiful public Parks, ideal for wedding celebrations.
The neighboring Santa Ynez Valley is home to amazing vineyard venues and I have had the privilege to photograph weddings and portraits at many of them including Gainey Vineyard, Sunstone Winery and Vineyard, and Firestone Vineyard. Many couples getting married in Santa Barbara also make an excursion to Santa Ynez for a relaxing day of wine tasting and to visit the many worthwhile sight-seeing opportunities in Los Olivos, Solvang and Santa Ynez. There are two Missions to see, with Mission Santa Ines right outside the Danish Village of Solvang and La Purisima Mission only a half-hour drive further to the west.
In nearby Ojai there is the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa, and similarly, up the coast, the Sycamore Springs Resort and Spa offers a luxurious setting for weddings with idyllic Avila Beach only a couple minutes drive.
If you’re planning a wedding on the Central Coast, don’t hesitate to call, it’s always a pleasure to help and share local knowledge.
Mammoth Lakes – June Lake – Yosemite – Eastern Sierra
A decade of mountain guiding and many more years of personal climbing and backpacking trips to the High Sierra has made me intimately familiar with many of the finest mountain sites that California has to offer. I am more than happy to be of help if you are looking for suggestions for great places to have a mountain wedding. The Eastern Sierra and Owens Valley, Mammoth Lakes, June Lake, Bishop, Yosemite, and the White Mountains all offer venues for weddings with the spectacular scenery of the Sierra Nevada and surrounding natural beauty as your backdrop.
