Born and raised in the small village of Flinsbach, Austria. Climbing in Austria draws me again and again to the Dachstein.
Graduate of culinary school in Austria. One of my favorite simple dishes is Kaiserschmarrn. Ask me to make you one, you won't regret it.
IFMGA Mountain Guide - In 2001 I completed my International Mountain Guide certification. I keep a balance of work between photography and work in the mountains.
Places I keep returning to: the Dolomites, detailed limestone faces, larches and alpine meadows; the High Sierra wilderness, bright granite, foxtail and ponderosa; Yosemite, limitless boulders, endless walls; the ocean, kelp forest and coastal zone.
A few years ago I became a father. That now tops my identity as family man, climber, guide and photographer.
